An Unique Naturopathy Initiative For The Management Of Pulmonary/Respiratory Problems, and Depression Syndrome.
| |
At the "KAYAKALP" - an unique naturopathy initiative was pursued, wherein, an oxygen rich zone has been created-first of its kind in the world, by growing shrubs and trees that can generate ample quantity of oxygen, at the same time, removing lot of dust. Such an environment, has a special significance for the management and rehabilitation of patients suffering from pulmonary respiratory problems such as "Asthma" on one hand and "depression" on the other. Besides this, the zone also has five grooves, surrounded by flowering shrubs, where patients can sit in an open sun, in winter; as also in morning/evening times, in summer, for meditation so as to improve their concentration of mind and to get over mental depression etc.
The oxygen zone that occupies around one sixth of an hectare of area (around 1600 m2) has fifty five (55) trees comprising of Rudraksh (Elveocarpus franifus), Pine (Pinus longifolia), Deodars (Cedrus deodara), Hoop-pine (Pinus roxburghi), Magnolia (Magnolia grandiflora), Bhera (Terminalia billarika), Hard (Terminalia chabula), Amla (Embellica officiallis), Euclyptus (Cittoridora tasmanian blue), Camphor (Cinnamomomus camphora), Arjan (Terminalia arjuna), Himpushpa (Stervia foetida), Ginko, Neem (Azardirectota indica) and Gurpatraz (Cillamum tamola) among many others.
Consequently, such trees and shrubs, when grown for 15 years, in this zone, would be capable of producing 4 tons of oxygen besides sucking around 7 tons of dust every year as evidenced by the claim of Russian Scientists who reported that a 15-20 years old plantation of Deodar and Pine can generate about 30 tons of oxygen and can suck around 45 tons of dust.
In future perspective, an interface containing small medicinal plants such as Brahmi (Baccoppa mollnnerie), Tulsi (ossmum, falcum), Podina (Mentha arbensus), Bhavri (Occimum bacillicum) and Alovaera would also be introduced around grooves which would enrich the oxygen zone in therapeutic dimensions, yet, above all, would also cleanse the lungs of the patients suffering from respiratory problems by providing ample quantity of oxygen in dust free environment besides managing depression syndrome through meditational interventions, among patients.
